Where is it In Herefordshire |
"CALLOW, a parish in the hundred of Webtree, in the county of Hereford, 4 miles to the S. of Hereford. It is near the Newport section of the West Midland railway, being 2½ miles E. of the Tram Inn station. The living is a perpetual curacy united to the vicarage of Dewsall, value £86, in the diocese of Hereford. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, has a square parapeted tower, and was rebuilt in 1830. On a hill are remains of two Roman camps. The parish contains 621 acres, principally belonging to the governors of Guy's Hospital, who are lords of the manor."
