Proved PCC London 1 Aug 1611 by William DANSEY the Exor. Notes: According to The Visitation of Gloucestershire 1623, George DELABERE was married to Sibbell daughter of Thomas WALWYN of Hellins and had two sons John DELABERE and Kennard DELABERE; Kennard married and left issue in Southam co Gloucs. The above John DELABERE married Sibell daughter of John SCUDAMORE of Homlacy and had two sons, Kennard DELABERE and Richard DELABERE. According to The Visitation of Herefordshire 1634 (which does not notice the DELABERE family), Thomas DAUNSEY of Brynsop co Hereford married Sybell daughter of John SCUDAMORE of Home-Lacy and had a son William DAUNSEY of Brinsop. It seems likely therefore that the Testatrix is the wife of John DELABERE, that he was her 2nd husband and that the Executor was Sibell's son by her first marriage. Sibell's daughters Jane or Joan DAUNSEY married Edmund BROWNE and Elizabeth DAUNSEY married Thomas NICHOLLS. |
