TURNASTON, Herefordshire - Extract from National Gazetteer, 1868

"TURNASTON, a parish in the hundred of Webtree, county Hereford, 10½ miles S.W. of Hereford, its post town, and 7 N.W. of Pontrilas railway station. The village is situated on the river Dore. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Hereford, value £73. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. W. S. Wood, Esq., is lord of the manor and sole landowner."
