"WHITNEY, a parish in the hundred of HUNTINGTON, county of HEREFORD, 5 miles (N.E.) from Hay, containing 268 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £5. 8., and in the patronage of Tomkin Dew, Esq.
