"SPALDWICK, (Huntingdonshire) on the N. E. side of Kimbolton, was given to the Ch. of Lincoln by Henry I. as a reparation for taking the Bpk. of Ely out of Lincoln diocese; but 'tis now the manor of the D. of Manchester."
