"BLACKMANSTONE, a parish in the hundred of Worth, lathe of Shepway, in the county of Kent, 3 miles to the N. of New Romney, its post town. It is included in the liberty of Romney Marsh. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, of the value of £44, in the patronage of the archbishop. The church has long been in decay."
