"EAST LANGDON, a parish in the hundred of Cornilo, lathe of St. Augustine, county Kent, 3½ miles N. of Dover, its post town. The village, which is inconsiderable, is situated in the southern part of the parish. A portion of the land is in hop grounds. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury, value £126. The church, dedicated to St. Augustine, is a small ancient structure. A fair for toys and pedlery is held on old May-day."
