Church History
1932 - The Victory Baptist Church on St Annes Road was built on the site of earlier tent meetings. Known as the Bethel Evangelical Fellowship, it was built by the brother of George Jefferies, who had built the Elim church on Waterloo Road. Later the building was a Moravian church, and then a Church of the Nazarene. In 1987, the building became the St Annes Road or Victory Baptist Church.
