Church History

This church started as a temperance society in 1886. In 1888 they moved to a new hall built by them in Hill Street. The number grew and so it was decided to build a school chapel in Lyon's Lane which opened on 12 November 1898.

A history of the church has been produced by Christine Crumblehulme.
