It was founded before 1835 and closed in 1961. The building was consecrated on 22nd Dec 1848. The image is taken from an 1852 engraving of the Great Homer Street Haymarket, for the Illustrated London News. The crowds in Gt Nelson St are there for the Agricultural Fair.Maps
