Church History

It was founded before 1839.

The first church was built in Parr in Boardmans Lane, which burned down in 1860. The present church was consecrated in 1865. It cost £2600. he incumbent was Rev Abraham Augustus Nunn. "The Street" in Parr was renamed in his honour.
