The church had a graveyard.

Church History

It was founded before 1757 and closed in 2004. The old church and graveyard lay behind the new one and closer to the school and was used as the parish club after the new church was built. Cottages close by held mass in the attic and had an escape route and priest hole from the times of the catholic persecution sadly these like the old church and graveyard have disappeared. On the same site was a dairy and stables (the horses delivered the milk). There was also an old convent at the back of Kenford Road this also was replaced by a new one.

Church Records

Whilst every effort has been made to record exact details of record office and library holdings you are recommended to check with them before visiting to ensure that they do hold the records and years you wish to examine. Similarly check with transcript publishers to ensure they cover the records and years you require before making a purchase.
