If you are planning a visit:
- By automobile, take the A447 north out of Hinckley to Cadeby. The road runs along the eastern edge of the village.
- There is a mention of a hall in Cadeby in 1881, but no description.
- The national grid reference is SK 4202.
- You'll want an Ordnance Survey Explorer map, which has 2.5 inches to the mile scale.
- See our Maps page for additional resources.
- The parish is in the ancient Sparkenhoe Hundred in the western division of the county.
- At one time, the parish contained the township of Obaston before that place was formed as a Civil Parish in 1866.
- In March, 1884, the parish was enlarged by gaining the Naneby House part of Market Bosworth Civil Parish. This was about 108 acres of land.
These census figures, except for 1841, appear to be for the Township and not the entire parish of Cadeby.
