"Osbaston, township, Cadeby par., Leicestershire, 1½ mile NE. of Market Bosworth, 1230 ac., pop. 219; contains Osbaston Hall, seat."

- The Anglican parish church here was destroyed by 1848.
- The members of the parish attended church in either Cadeby or Market Bosworth.

Osbaston is a village and a parish which lies 114 miles north of London, just off the road (the A447) between Ibstock and Hinckley. The parish covers about 1,300 acres.
If you are planning a visit:
- By automobile, take the A447 trunk road north out of Hinckley and cross the B585 arterial. Obastion will be about 2/3 of a mile on the right.
- Osbaston Hall is a large brick manor in the Elizabethan style and was the residence of Miss COPE in 1849.
- Cliff House was the seat of William E. OAKELEY in 1881. It was built in the Swiss style, surrounded by lawn and having a good view of the countryside.
- The national grid reference is SK 3304.
- You'll want an Ordnance Survey Explorer map, which has 2.5 inches to the mile scale.

- This place was a township in the two parishes of Cadeby and Market Bosworth until December, 1866, when it was formed as a Civil Parish.
