Wymeswold (Wimeswould)
- A cemetery of one acre was formed on Rempstone road. It was under the control of the parish council.

Wymeswold is a village, a township and a parish which lie about 13 miles north of Leicester city and 4 miles east of East Leake. The parish covers about 3,370 acres, most of which was pasture for sheep and cattle. The parish abuts Nottinghamshire county to the north.

- In 1733, Joseph THOMPSON left £100 to generate interest which was used to educate 10 boys.
- A Public Elementary School was built here in 1846 on Far Street to hold 110 children.
- A Public Elementary School for infants was built here in 1838 on East Street to hold 94 infants.
