Boston Petty Sessions 4 March
An order was made upon Chas. Wm. SMITH, late of Kirton, but now of Deeping, for payment of 2s 6d a week and costs towards the support of a bastard child belonging to Eliz. WILCOCK, of Frampton, singlewoman.

Boston Petty Sessions 27 February
An order was made upon Matthew MORLEY, of Boston, mariner, for payment of 2s a week and expenses towards the maintenance of an illegitimate child belonging to Mary Ann DUTTON of Boston, singlewoman.

An order was also made upon Fred. RAWLINSON, of Ropsley, servant, for payment of 1s 6d a week and expenses towards the maintenance of an illegitimate child belonging to Mary RILOTT, of Boston, singlewoman.

13 March 1844

Spilsby. At the magistrates' office on Monday last
Zipporah BELLAMY of Orby, singlewoman v. Wm. WALLES, of Ingoldmells, in bastardy: ordered to pay 2s per week from birth, and costs 14s 6d.

A summons was served against James RUSHBY, of Toynton, to answer a demand in bastard brought against him by Susan BANNISTER.

Grimsby Police Office, 3 March
An order was made upon Wm. VICKERS, of Clee, of 1s 9d per week (and £1.14s 6d costs) for the support of a bastard child affiliated to him by Eliza SIZOR.

On the application of Maria DREWRY, a summons was issued for the appearance at the next meeting of Chas. CAPES, of Swallow, whom she alleged to be the father of her bastard child.

28 June 1844

On Saturday last the Magistrates acting at Horncastle made an order of affiliation upon Wm. CLARK, for the support of Mary MEANWELL's bastard child.

An order was made on Geo. WATMOUGH, of Kirmington, to pay 2s per week towards the maintenance of Ann STUBBING's bastard child.

Horncastle Magistrate's Office 14 September 1844
An order of affiliation was made on Robt. DAWBNEY, of Hagg [Hagworthingham], for the support of Elizabeth BURTON's child.

27 September 1844

Boston Petty Sessions 20 September 1844
An order was made upon Wm. FIDLING of Boston, foundryman, for the maintenance of a bastard child born of the body of Caroline FLETCHER.

An order was also made upon Isaiah TOYNE, of Skegness, common-carrier, for the maintenance of a bastard child born of the body of Jane GRANTHAM.

Magistrates Office Spilsby
A summons under the new bastardy law was granted on the application of Ann COVEL for the appearance of Wm. LINGUARD.

And another on the application of Maria HOTCHIN, for the appearance of Samuel BURMAN.

An order was made upon James HILL of Gosberton, a schoolmaster for the maintenance of a bastard child born of the body of Elizabeth WOODS of Gosberton singlewoman.

An order was made upon Wm. HARRISON of Donington farmer for maintenance of a bastard child born of Eliza RUSSELL of Bennington [sic], singlewoman.

An order was made on the application of Harvest SILVESTER, of Boston, singlewoman, upon Samuel COATES, of Freiston, servant for maintenance of a bastard child.

Samuel BLAND of Folkingham, servant was ordered to maintain the bastard child of Charlotte EALAND of Donington singlewoman.

An order in bastardy was granted against Sam. BURMAN on the application of Ann COVILE of Skegness.

City [Lincoln] Magistrates 17 October
Sophia SHEPHERD obtained an order of affiliation against John PROUDLOVE the father of her illegitimate child.

An order was made upon Edw. FORRINGTON, cordwainer of Sibsey for payment towards the maintenance of the illegitimate child of Ann DENNIS, singlewoman of Boston.

Boston Petty Sessions 23 October
An order was made upon Geo. PLASKITT of North Coates, a servant, for support of a bastard child born on the body of Mary ELSEY, singlewoman.

A similar order was made upon Wm. MOATES of Sutterton, carpenter, for a bastard child born of the body of Mary Ann GRUMMITT of Wyberton, singlewoman.

And also upon Rt. Allen GILLIES of Skirbeck, foundryman, for a bastard child born of the body of Mary ABBITT of Skirbeck, singelwoman.

An order was made upon Samuel WOODS of Donington, servant, for payment towards the maintenance of a bastard born of the body of Sarah CUSTLEY singlewoman.

A summons was granted, on the application of Ann STORR, of Bratoft, singlewoman, against Matthew Lee WINTER in bastardy;

and also, on the application of Eliz. DICKENSON, of Sibsey, widow, against Benj. BROOMHEAD in bastardy.

An order was made upon Burton BELL, of Fishtoft, labourer, for payment towards the maintenance of a bastard born of the body of Frances JACKLIN, of Freiston, singlewoman.

Also upon John DICKINSON of Freiston, servant, for payment towards the maintenance of a bastard born of the body of Ann WILSON, singlewoman.

Ann KING of Friskney, singlewoman, made an application in bastady against - BOLLON of Butterwick: the case was respited until next Monday for the appearance of witnesses.

Application was made by Betsy ARCHER, of Authorpe, for an order upon Jabez DAWSON, yeoman, of the same place, for the maintenance of her bastard child: there being no corroborative evidence, the order was refused.

An order was made upon Daniel MAUMWELL for the maintenance of Eliz. WILES' bastard.

Town Hall, Stamford, Monday last (2 Dec)
Mr. Fred. Ries BARRATT, music-master, on the application of Ann Rose WHITWORTH, singlewoman, was adjudged to be the putative father of a female bastard child of which she was lately delivered.

A child was also affiliated upon Richard THOMPSON, of Easton, slater, upon the application of Sarah WYATT, singlewoman.

Orders were made upon Wm. HODGSON and Wm. WALKER for the maintenance of the bastard children of Sarah ROBINSON and Christiana ROBINSON. Notice of appeal was given in the latter case.

13 December 1844

An order was made upon John GRAHAM of Saucethorpe, labourer, for payment towards the maintenance of a bastard child born of the body of Eliza BASKETTER, of Butterwick.

Kesteven Petty Sessions (Judges Lodgings Lincoln 6 December)
An order was made on Geo. HOLMES, of Bassingham, on the application of Mary MATTHEWS, of Swinderby, singlewoman, for payment towards the maintenace of her bastard child.

Boston Police (Petty Sessions 6 December)
John PATMAN of Boston, labourer, was committed to prison for two months, in default of paying maintenance for a bastard child born on the body of Mary Ann BOWCOCK, singlewoman.

Spilsby Magistrates Office 2 December
An application in bastardy was made by Eliz. DICKENSON, widow, of Sibsey against Benj. BRUMMITT, labourer, of Butterwick, order granted.

20 December 1844

Boston Petty Sessions 18 December
Daniel CHESTER, of Leverton, servant, appeared to answer a complaint of Sophia WOODWARD, single-woman, charging him with being the father of a bastard child; case dismissed - insufficient corroborative evidence.

An order was made upon Edm. HURGATE, of Donington, labourer, for the support of a bastard child born of the body of Sarah MIDDLEBROOK, single-woman.

An order was also made upon Rt. HORN, of Swineshead, baker, for support of a bastard child born of the body of Martha ASHMAN, of Donington, single-woman.

27 December 1844

Grantham Police, 21 December
Mary BULLIMORE, of Woolsthorpe, charged Chas. DEACON, of Easton, with being the father of her illegitimate child: this application not being within two months of the birth, no order could be made for back time.

Thos WILLOUGHBY, charged with being the father of the illegitimate child of Milicent COUSINS, of Doddington, brought a number of witnesses to prove she had had frequent intercourse with her sister's husband, a widower, and the order was not allowed.
