Military Men and Women

These are men and women who served in Lincolnshire-based units or who were born in Lincolnshire. Their appearance here does not mean that they were born in Lincolnshire unless so stated. I have purposely omitted individuals who served after 1918 for privacy reasons. You can discuss that decision with me if you like.

This page awaits your update. If you have a soldier, sailor or officer in your ancestry, you can share that by contacting the Site Co-ordinator (see bottom of page). I have no further information on these people, so cannot help you with genealogical questions.

We have a list of South Lincolnshire Militia Deserters, 1793, which might interest you.

Records are listed (generally) in the order of SURNAME, given name, date of entry, rank (if known), unit, place and details.
