"THORPE MALSOR, a parish in the hundred of Rothwell, county Northampton, 2.5 miles N.W. of Kettering, its post town, on a branch of the river Nen. There are quarries of red sandstone. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £255. The church, dedicated to St. Leonard, contains memorials of the Marmsells. Robert Talbot, the antiquary, was born in this parish.
