"WESTON FAVELL, a parish in the hundred of Spelhoe, county Northampton, 2½ miles N.E. of Northampton. The village is situated on the road to Peterborough. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough, value £250. The church, dedicated to St. Peter, has the tomb of the Rev. J. Harvey, once rector, and author of "Meditations among the Tombs." The Baptists have a chapel. There is a free school, founded by Henry and Elizabeth Ekins, with an endowment of £45 per annum."
