"TINWELL, a parish in the hundred of EAST, county of RUTLAND, 1 mile (S. W. by W.) from Stamford, containing, with the hamlet of Ingthorp, 245 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £ 12. 10. 5., and in the patronage of the Marquis of Exeter.
