"COLD WESTON, a parish in the hundred of MUNSLOW, county of SALOP, 6 miles (N. B. by N.) from Ludlow, containing 24 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £2. 8. 4., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty. Samuel Davies, Esq. was patron in 1816. The church is dedicated to St. Mary."
