"CORELY, a parish in the Cleobury division of the hundred of Stottesdon, in the county of Salop, 4 miles W. of Cleobury Mortimer, its post town, and 5 N.E. of Tenbury, its railway station. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Hereford, value £280, in the patronage of A. F. Halliburton, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Peter, is an ancient brick structure, with tower and spire. There are free schools for boys and girls. The Earl of Craven is lord of the manor."
