"MUCKLESTONE (or MUCKLESTON), a parish partly in Pimhill hundred, in the county of Stafford, and partly in the Drayton division of the hundred of Bradford North. The church is in Staffordshire. The entire parish contains 1,753 inhabitants. The Shropshire part 829 inhabitants. 3½ miles north-east of Drayton.

" BEARSTONE, a township in the parish of Mucklestone, and in the Drayton division of the hundred of Bradford North. 12 houses, 79 inhabitants. 4½ miles north-east, of Drayton."

" DORRINGTON, a township in the parish of Mucklestone, and in the Drayton division of the hundred of Bradford North. 31 houses, 185 inhabitants. 4½ miles north-east of Drayton."

" GRAVENHANGER, a township in the parish of Mucklestone, and in the Drayton division of the hundred of Bradford North. 6 miles north-east of Drayton. 33 houses, 200 inhabitants."
