"MUNSLOW, a parish in the hundred of MUNSLOW, county of SALOP, 11 miles (N.) from Ludlow, containing 708 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £21. 15. 2. The Rev.R.Powell was patron in 1806. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. Munslow gave birth, in 1589, and the title of baron, in 1640, to Edward Littleton, Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas, and Keeper of the Great Seal; he died in 1645."
