"UFFINGTON, a parish in the Wellington division of the hundred of Bradford South, a curacy, in the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield, the deanery of Salop, and archdeaconry of Salop. It formerly helonged to the Knights Templars. 25 houses, 139 inhabitants. 2½ miles north- east of Shrewsbury. The residence of the Rev. Corbet Browne."
