"UPPINGTON, a parish in the Wellington division of the hundred of Bradford South, a curacy, in the diocese of Coventry and Lichfield, the deanery of Salop, and archdeaconry of Salop. A peculiar. 23 houses, 111 inhabitants. 7 miles south-east by east of Shrewsbury."
