"WEST FELTON, a parish in the hundred of Lower Oswestry, county Salop, 4 miles S.E. of Oswestry, its post town, and 13 N.W. of Shrewsbury. The Rednall station on the Shrewsbury and Chester branch of the Great Western railway is 2 miles to the N.E. of the village. It is situated in the vicinity of the Montgomery canal, on the small river Perry. The parish is intersected by the Holyhead road, and includes the townships of Haughton, Rednall, Sandford, Sutton, Tedsmere, Woolstan, and other small places."
