"SOUTH ELMHAM ST. MICHAEL, a parish in the hundred of Wangford, county Suffolk, 4 miles S. of Bungay, its post town. The living is a vicarage annexed to the perpetual curacy of Rumburgh. The church is ancient. Sir R. Adair is lord of the manor.
