WHAT'S NEW IN SUFFOLK

About this page:

This page has been created to assist myself and others to keep track of changes made to the Suffolk pages on GENUKI. Please note that the links provided on this page will take you to the Suffolk Town or Parish page containing the new information, and NOT directly to the information itself, so please be prepared to hunt around for the details!

NOTE: If you want to find contact details for the person who provided the input for a particular item, please consult the Suffolk GENUKI Service Providers list.

Suffolk Parishes 1836 page added, containing collated list of Parishes, Registration Districts and Hundreds.

7 February 2013

The individual links to the 1891 Census Index on the Chelmondiston, Erwarton, Freston, Harkstead, Holbrook, Shotley, Tattingstone, Wherstead and Woolverstone pages have been removed - the common server moves its location frequently and is now too onerous to track.

A link to a collective list at Samford (Part) Suffolk 1891 Census (Index) has been included instead.

3 January 2013

Links to the 1891 Census Index on the Chelmondiston, Erwarton, Freston, Harkstead, Holbrook, Shotley, Tattingstone, Wherstead and Woolverstone pages are broken - probably due to a server malfunction on the common target source.

5 October 2012

Some confusion between the entries for Wangford and Wangford Near Southwold has been resolved. The text for the hamlet of Henham has been relocated to the Wangford Near Southwold page.

A link for Henham (to the Wangford Near Southwold page) has been added to the Parishes page.

All parish and town pages have now been converted to CSS/SHTML to meet current (2010) GENUKI standards, and uploaded for final checking against backups.

All parish and town pages now incorporate 100m resolution grid references.

Supplementary pages will be amended later as necessary.
