"CHILLINGTON, a parish in the hundred of South Petherton, in the county of Somerset, 3 miles from Ilminster, and 5 E. of Chard. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £60, in the patronage of Earl Powlett. The church, dedicated to St. James, is an ancient stone edifice.
