Closworth

"CLOSWORTH, a parish in the hundred of Houndsborough, in the county of Somerset, 2 miles N.E. of the Sutton station on the London and Exeter direct line, and 3 miles S. of Yeovil, its post town. It is situated on the river Yee. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £220, in the patronage of Lord Portman. The church, dedicated to All Saints, is a stone edifice in the perpendicular style. The register dates from 1685. There are a dame and Sunday schools.
