"CUDWORTH, a parish in the hundred of South Petherton, in the county of Somerset, 3 miles from Ilminster, its post town, and 3½ N.E. of Chard Road station on the London, Yeovil, and Exeter branch of the London and South-Western railway. There are only a few scattered houses. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £50, in the patronage of the bishop. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is a small stone structure, consisting of chancel, nave, and turret. J. T. B. Notley, Esq, is lord of the manor."
