"FARMBOROUGH, a parish in the hundred of Keynsham, county Somerset, 6 miles S.W. of Bath, its post town. It is situated on the Bath and Wells road. Tho Keynsham station on the Great Western railway is about 5 miles N. of the village. The hamlet of Hobb's Wall is included in this parish The soil is a rich stiff loam, with surface undulating to the N. and S. About two-thirds of the land is in pasture. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £420. The church is an ancient stone edifice, dedicated to All Saints. The Wesleyans and other Dissenters have places of worship.
