"LEIGHLAND, a chapelry in the parish of Old Cleeve, hundred of Williton, county Somerset, 3 miles S.W. of Watchet. It is situated near the coast of the Bristol Channel. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £40. The church is dedicated to St. Giles."
