Tintinhull

"TINTINHULL, a parish in the hundred of the same name, county Somerset, 41 miles from Yeovil, its post town, and 2½ S.W. of Ilchester. The village is on the navigable river Ivil, and the ancient Fosse Way. The soil is clayey, with a subsoil of clay. Stock-Dennis, now a tything in this parish, was anciently populous. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £90. The church, dedicated to St. Margaret, contains a brass of a priest bearing date 1464.
