"WHEATHILL, a parish in the hundred of Whitley, county Somerset, 4 miles S.W. of Castle-Cary. It is situated on the road from Castle-Cary to Somerton, near the river Brue. The springs in the vicinity are impregnated with sulphur. There is no village, only two or three farmhouses. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £105.
