"WOOLAVINGTON, a parish in the hundred of Whitley, county Somerset, 4 miles N.E. of Bridgwater, near the Glastonbury canal. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value with that of Puriton annexed, £355, in the patronage of the Dean and Canons of Windsor. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The Wesleyans have a chapel. There is a parochial school. A fair is held on the 18th October for cattle."
