West Bromwich St Philip

St Philip's ecclesiastical parish was formed in 1900 from part of Christ Church parish. The church, in Beeches Road, was erected in 1898-9.

Church History

St Philip's church was a structure of red brick and terra cotta dressings, in a modified Gothic style, designed by Wood & Kendrick, architects of West Bromwich, consisting of a chancel, nave, aisles, mourning chapel, organ chamber and vestries.

Church of England Registers
The register of St Philip's Church, West Bromwich, commences in 1900. The original registers for the period 1892-1936 (Bapts) & 1900-1929 (Mar) are deposited at Staffordshire Record Office.
