"ASTON CANTLOW, (or Aston Cantelupe), a parish and small town in the hundred of Barlichway, in the Stratford division of the county of Warwick, 4 miles N.E. from Alcester, and 6 miles to the N.W. of Stratford-on-Avon. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Worcester, of the value of £93, and in the patronage of the Rev. E. B. K. Fortescue. The church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist, and has a fine embattled tower at the west end. There is a school, built in 1848. In the neighbourhood are some stone quarries.
