Additional Notes:
[Roy of Solihull] The New Meeting house in Moor Street was opened as an off-shoot of the Old Presbyterian Meeting House in Digbeth in 1732. It was destroyed by rioters in 1791, reopened in 1802 and survived until 1861, after which it was sold.

Birmingham Library has records of Christening only for the years of 1719 and 1747-1840.

The Old Meeting House was opened in 1689 and despite being destroyed twice, finally closed in 1882.

Their records are also at the library and consist of Christenings 1774-1838 and burials 1784-1858.

[Michael Brittain, BMSGH, 1999] Those Archdiocese of Birmingham (RC) records which are not still in the parishes are in the archdiocesan archives at Cathedral House, St Chad's Queensway, Birmingham B4 6EU. There is so far as I know, no such place as Bishop's House. Archbishop's House is where the Archbishop lives (when there is one in place - the see is vacant at the moment). Cathedral House houses the administrative offices, including the archives.
