BURTON-DASSETT, Warwickshire
"BURTON-DASSETT, a parish in the Burton-Bassett division of the hundred of Kington, in the county of Warwick, 4 miles to the E. of Kington. Rugby is its post town. Little Bassett, Knightcott, and Northend are hamlets of this parish, which was formerly a market town. The living is a vicarage* in the diocese of Worcester, value £167, in the patronage of Lord Willoughby de Broke and R. W. Blencowe, Esq. The church is dedicated to All Saints. The charitable endowments of the parish produce about £70 per annum."
