It is on the border of Shropshire, and in the union and county court district of Cleobury Mortimer. The living is a vicarage united with that of Mamble, in the diocese of Hereford. The church, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, is a plain, neat building. The parish, which is but scantily inhabited, contains several coal-pits."
