CHURCHILL BY BROOM, Worcestershire
"CHURCHILL BY BROOM, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Halfshire, in the county of Worcester, 3 miles N.E. of Kidderminster. It is a railway station on the Worcester and Wolverhampton railway. The living is a rectory* in the diocese of Worcester, value £255, in the patronage of the Rev. J. Turner. The church, dedicated to St. James, is a small ancient edifice. Here is a free school with an annual endowment of about £30, arising from property left by Richard Ponne."
