"COTHERIDGE, a parish in the upper division of the hundred of Doddingtree, in the county of Worcester, 4 miles W. of Worcester. It is situated on the river Teme, and contains the hamlets of Hewson and Otherton. The village is small, but the land well cultivated, part being in hops. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Worcester, and in the patronage of the Rev. R. Berkeley. The church, dedicated to St. Leonard, is a plain structure, partly in the pointed, and partly in the Norman, style of architecture. The charities amount to £8 per annum. Cotheridge Court, a commodious residence, is delightfully situated."
