LONGDON, Worcestershire
"LONGDON, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of Pershore, county Worcester, 3 miles S.W. of Upton-on-Severn, and 4 N.W. of Tewkesbury, its post town and nearest railway station on the Midland line. It is situated within a short distance of the western bank of the river Severn, and includes the hamlets of Eastington, Hilworth, Hill-End, and several other small places. The road from Upton to Gloucester passes through the village. The tithes have been commuted for a rent-charge of £845, besides 94 acres of appropriate glebe."
