1681 to 1762.
By ROBERT H. SKAIFE, The Mount, York (1873).

YORK:
York Minster Marriages 1742-3 to 1765

Source=h:/!Genuki/RecordTranscriptions/ARY/YorkMinsterMarriages.txt In this transcription there are 1,855 marriages from the registers of York Minster between the dates of 1681 and 1762. There are copious notes to go with some of the entries which give further information on some of the people.

In order to assist in searching these, there are two Indexes giving the Brides and the Grooms in alphabetical order which have been extracted from the transcription entries (note that these were extracted by software, so the index will agree with the transcription, even if it's wrong!)
Both of the Indexes will appear in a separate browser window so that you can switch from the index to the register transcription easily: Index sorted by Bride Index sorted by Grooms.

THE REGISTER TRANSCRIPTIONS:

A Register of those persons that have been marryed in the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St. Peter in York since November 11th, 1681, when Nicholas Procter was made Clerk of the Vestry. The Burials in York Minster Register of Burials in York Minster (1634-1836), to which frequent reference is made in the following notes, are printed in the first and second volumes of the Yorkshire Archaeological and Topographical Journal, and can be accessed via the above link.

Please remember that dates previous to 1752 are given in the old date form and so any data between 1st January and 25th March will have a form such as 1750-1 due to New-Years day being on the 25th March.

The Marriage Register transcriptions are divided up as follows:
