| In memoriam CHARLOTTE ANNIE, beloved wife of JOHN BOWLT PURVIS; died 17th August 1931. And Capt GEORGE BELL PURVIS, younger son of the above 5th Yorks Regt and M.C.C., who fell in action 8th June 1917, aged 24. buried at Klein Vierstraat, Ypres. and the above Major JOHN BOWLT PURVIS T.D. who died 3rd February 1942, aged 81 years. and of the elder son The Rev Canon JOHN STANLEY, PURVIS, O.B.E; D.D; F.S.A; who died in York, 21st December 1968 Aged 78. And of their daughter HILDA MARY PURVIS, died in York, on Oct 3 1985, Aged 87 years.
