BUGTHORPE:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1868.

"BUGTHORPE, a parish in the wapentake of Buckrose, in the East Riding of the county of York, 7 miles to the N. of Pocklington, its post town. It is watered by a small stream, a branch of the river Derwent. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Peterborough, worth £111, in the patronage of the Archbishop of York. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew."
