Geographical and Historical information from the year 1835.

"MIDDLETON ON THE WOLDS, a parish in the Bainton-Beacon division of the wapentake of HARTHILL, East riding of the county of YORK, 8 miles N.W. from Beverley, containing 441 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of the East riding, and diocese of York, rated in the king's books at £15. 3. 4. The Rev. J. Blanchard was patron in 1827. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists."
