NORTH FERRIBY:
Geographical and Historical information from the year 1834.

"NORTH FERRIBY, is a township and village, in the parish of its name, which is in the county of Kingston upon Hull, 6 miles from South Cave, and 8 from Hull ; pleasantly situated near to the Humber, which river bounds the parish on its southern part. The church, which is dedicated to All Saints, is supposed to be a part only of a more spacious edifice : some handsome monuments adorn the interior. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the patronage of Sir Robert Peel, bart. Several handsome residences are in and near to the village, which also contains one of those useful schools, on the national plan. The parish contained, by the parliamentary returns for 1831, 823 inhabitants, and the township 345 of that number.
